cyst pain

I found out a few monyhs ago i have cysts in both breasts, i also have ovarian cysts. My question is with breast cysy is it normal to have sharp shooting pain. Pain does not last too long.Also is there a link between ovarian cysts and breast cysts.

Hi,
Breast cysts are benign lumps that can certainly cause the pain you are describing,particularly before your menstrual cycle.
I don't think that breast cysts have anything to do with ovarian cysts,except that ovaries release hormones (Estrogen) that can be the cause for the pain you feel in your breasts.Try to avoid caffeine intake and salty food also..because they can worsen the pain.
Breast cysts,are usually left alone,but if they cause too much pain or grow excessively,they can be aspirated by a fine needle.
I hope that you have, or are going to see a OB/GYN or your family doctor for what concerns your ovaries and breast cysts.
