drainage tube out early

my drainage tube came out after 4 days i was still 90cc. went in and she said it was ok and did not aspirate and surgeon released me she is 2 hrs away . im having treatment here so went to an onacogist and he looked at it and said was swollen but will absorb that was 4 days ago and 2 weks since lympnode disection .still am swollen and still have to take pain meds is this normal

You will also find that the less you move around the less fluid you will create and the more you move around the more fluid you accumulate.

Aspiration does not hurt. Let them take some out to relieve the swelling. Then relax and not overdo it. Be gentle with yourself.

thanks, im calling tomarrow as its getting worse and more swollen. i,m having to take so many pain pills so not getting better.

The fluid will most likely be absorbed but it will take some time. It can also be drained OR the drain could be replaced if the fluid buildup continues. If it needs to be replaced it's a minor procedure that takes about 5 minutes using a local anesthesia. I would keep a close eye on the amount of swelling though; your Oncologist can monitor this.   Regards ....
