doctor is not available, if he is not, I will cancel ,an re-schedule, this , needs to be done right, the doctor the hospital suggested is in training!!! NO WAY!!
Thank you again, keep in touch!
Yes,make sure with your radiologist that that's the procedure you'll be having.Vaccum assisted biopsy ( Brand name Mammotome or MIBB) It's less invasive than others.Talking to your doctor also is a good idea, the more you know, the better. Please let us know how it all went..Best wishes.
Hi: Thanks for the info. I will try to get a hold on the Radiologist, before
I get there for the procedure, I have read about the Mammotome brand,
and it seems it is less invasive. I will try to talk to my Doctor as well.
Hi there,
Here is some information about your biopsy.
-------------------------------------------------
Vacuum-assisted biopsy (brand names, Mammotome or MIBB) allows physicians to perform accurate breast biopsies on women with breast implants.
Vacuum-assisted biopsy relies on stereotactic mammography or ultrasound imaging for guidance. Stereotactic mammography involves using computers to pinpoint the exact location of a breast mass based on mammograms (x-rays) taken from two different angles. The computer coordinates will help the physician to guide the needle to the correct area in the breast. With ultrasound, the radiologist or surgeon will watch the needle on the ultrasound monitor to help guide it to the area of concern.
The precision and directional abilities of vacuum-assisted biopsy make it the most viable biopsy option for women with breast implants.

I think the procedure including preparation etc..takes less than an hour.Good luck !!
