Patient is lactating.

Both breasts are nodular in appearance.

A well defined hypo echoic nodule is seen in the Lt. breast at 3 O'clock location measuring 8mm in size.

Dilated ducts are noted in the subareolar region more on the right side.

Benign appearing bilateral axillary lymph nodes are noted.

Hi again and you welcome orangaya...

If the radiologist suggested a follow up it could mean that your BIRADS score could be  category 2 or a 3 which indicates that the nodule doesn't have suspicious characteristics and that's why a biopsy is not needed at this time.A follow up is the usual recommendation.
The lump being very small and oval is a good sign, and I don't think you should be overly worried about it.However make sure that you follow the doctor's scheduled appointment for a recheck.
I would advise you to call or meet with your doctor/radiologist to get detailed information concerning this lump and ask him/her what you are asking here and also about your BIRADS score.
I am sure that all your questions and concerns will be answered much better than I could do over the internet.
Sending you my best wishes....  :)

Hi,
On ultrasound, a solid nodule appears as a gray or hypoechoic area. In order to decide if the lump is suspicious enough to require further testing, your radiologist will look at the edges of the mass, called the margins. If the margins are smooth and the mass is round or oval, it is most likely benign (not cancer).Your mammogram showing a well defined nodule is encouraging, indicating a probability that it could be a fibroadenoma(.Benign lump)
Nodular appearance in breast" Fibrocystic breasts" are characterized by lumpiness .The condition is very common and benign, meaning that fibrocystic breasts are not malignant (cancerous). This is the most common cause of "lumpy breasts" and affects more than 60% of women.
Dilated ducts are really non-specific findings and does not point out to any specific diagnosis.Ducts can dilate in response to the natural fluctuations of hormone levels, coinciding with a woman's menstrual cycle and can also dilate when secretions or fluids are trapped, especially in lactating women.

Did the radiologist recommend any additional evaluation concerning the 8mm nodule? What is the BIRADS score stated on your Ultrasound report? If you have these informations it could help to at least guess how suspicious this nodule is.

Please,if you have any additional questions, use this same thread by posting below my comment on "Post Comment"
Take care and best wishes...
