itchy in areola

itchy in areola

I had been suffering itchiness in my left areola since 4 months.  I already consulted a OB gyne twice, they only asked me if there is a lump, i said no, then they only given me an antibiotic but seems there is no effect.  Sometimes it is very itchy sometimes there is no itchy.  The itchy would trigger especially when i eat chicken.  Two years ago, i was diagnosed having  poly cystic ovaries disease, hormonal imbalance.  For having PCOS can be the reason why im suffering now for itchiness?  Please Help me Doc.

Thanks and more power this forum, i know this could be a good help to everyone like me.

Hello,I am puzzled about your OB/GYN leaving it up to you to tell him whether you felt a lump or not! didn't they examine you? I would, if I were you, seek a second opinion about this, maybe a breast specialist or even a dermatologist. What you have, could be an allergy to some kind of food, clothing, soap etc...if not, a breast specialist who could order some tests, would be the best choice.I am sorry, I wish I could help you more, but please try to find a better answer about this problem and have your breasts clinically examined.Take care..
