localized breast pain

I am experiencing localized pain to the right breast. It is in the same area as the excisional biopsy that I had 15 months ago. The pain feels like a burning, tearing sensation that is not cyclical and not the same pain that I get with PMS. I would assume that I am completely healed from the surgery but the pain is very real and very painful. Any suggestions?

I am 42 and have been feeling a sometimes acute, sometimes achy pain in my left breast for maybe 6 months now.  My mammogram is clear.  I took out my mirena iud 2 weeks ago--no change.  I wonder if all of our pains have to do with hormone changes/ aging/ peri-menopause.  Does anyone else experience what I am?  What do you think is the cause?  How do you eliminate the pain?  Evening primrose?
Thanks for helping...I am nervous.

Thanks for the insight. I kind of thought that was what it was, but I was still concerned because so much time had passed without any problems. Again thank you...

This could be due to scar tissue that has developed since your surgery. If you are terribly concerned you might ck. with your Surgeon as he/she knows all the details of your surgery.    Regards ...
