Mammo test

Hi, A couple months ago I had a mammo done and the informed me that I needed films repeated. I would not get answers why. I got too many bruises and almost passed out from the test so I asked for an ultrasound. I went for my ultrasound. The radiologist did not like the films, she felt the area of interest was not looked at. I went to the records dept and the concern is, my right upper breast. They see a spot they are questioning. I went to a 2nd mammo. I had 5 films done , the radiologiat kept asking for films. They could not see the spot clearly. The sot is to high and close to my armpit. It is to difficult to get with the mammo but she still sees the spot. I am scheduled for an ultrasound. Now they know exactly where to look. PLease give me an opinion, I am going through so much worry for 3 months, thank you so much.

Thank you,
Gia

Hi,

You need to ask them to give you the reports of the tests done as yet. Post them to us here.

What is your age? What symptoms are you having?

Have you noticed any abnormal features on breast self examination like a breast lump, skin changes or nipple discharge?

Are you seeing a breast specialist?

Let us know the above details so that we may be able to help you.

Post us if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

I'm sorry you're having to go thru so many tests so that this area can be properly viewed but I truly believe it's worth it. If there is an area of concern you definitely need to know what it is and this is the only way. Medicine unfortunately isn't an exact science and sometimes it takes some looking to be sure. Hopefully this last US will tell the tale and let's also hope that it is nothing to be concerned about. best of luck.
