nipple retraction?!

nipple retraction?!

Hi,

Wondered if you could help me, I'm worried :-(

Ok, so I am only 21 I should first of all say. I noticed that my left nipple is ever so slightly inverted, just at the peak rather than the whole nipple. I can feel no lumps. I have had lymph node inflammation under the armpits and the neck i think (which come and go- they are just sore, not red or cyst like, and go away after 2-3 days), but a few months ago I had glandular fever and I don't think its really gone yet. I have really sore pectorial muscles and upper arms, which started with the glandular fever. Occasionally I get sharp pains in across my chest. Obviously, common sense tells me it is more likely that this is to do with the virus i have had, and the lymph nodes are inflammed because of the infection. I also hear breast cancer is a very rare thing in a 21 year old, but is there anyone that can put my mind at rest or otherwise?

Thanks in advance for anyones comments,

Clare

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "just at the tip" ..... Most nipples in the center where the opening is located are inverted somewhat. If you are terribly concerned about this then see your Dr. (Primary Care or GYN) and have him/her examine the area to be sure. I don't see any connection to breast cancer but by all means have it ck.d out for your peace of mind.    Regards ....
