I had excisional breast biopsy on friday 07-27-07. the whole procedure was easy and out- my questions is when will I know the results from this? I would think the surgeon would have known something that day whether it is cancer or just papilloma cyst.

My results were available 4 days after my biopsy.  I hope you have heard good news by now.

The Surgeon would not be able to tell you results of a biopsy "on the spot". Specimens need to be examined under the microscope by Pathology to arrive at a correct diagnosis. The normal time would be from 4 to 7 days .... that would be regular working days. Your Physician will receive the report and give you the results.
