small bruises on breast

I have recently noticed two small bruises, kind of redish-purplish in colour, on my right breast. At first it was just one, located to the left of my nipple. The second one appeared about 2 or 3 weeks after the first, a little higher up and to the right of my nipple. I have read some of the other comments saying that it may be from a trauma probably caused from a bra wire or a bra being too tight. I am 100% certain this is not the problem. I can't really tell if the bruises themselves are hot to the touch, because my breast are warm in general. I am concerned about this because of my young age of 17. If someone could please shed some light on my situation, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a ton.

Carlie, get yourself to a doctor.  Red bruising doesn't always mean cancer.  It could be an infected lymph node or milk duct or something else. But if you don't take care of things now you increase the chances of more serious problems later.  I had reddness and heat on my right breast and it was just a mild infection but if I hadn't taken care of it and the infection got worse it could well have caused trauma to the tissue and caused cancer.  Get going!

It's impossible to speculate over the internet about something like you describe. It could be most anything and the very least of which would be breast cancer. I think you should see your Dr. for an examination if these bruises persist.   Regards ....
