Pain in undearm

Hi, I've been having pain in my left underarm for about 8 months now.  It wasn't bad for most of those 8 months, I just noticed it when I would lie down to go to bed, and it wouldn't last very long.  However, now it seems to have gotten worse.  I don't notice any lumps.  It seems to be below the arm pit and also runs a bit below my left breast (but not on the left breast).  Does anyone know what it is? Don't have health insurance to go to the doc.

Hi,
Many conditions do cause pain in the axilla (armpit) region which can be due to lymph nodes, breast tissue and so on.The basis is of any pathology is an underlying inflammation. It is advisable that you schedule an appointment with your physician for a proper clinical evaluation.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi.  There are so many things which can cause underarm pain. It is really better to consult with a doctor to have it properly assessed and treated. Offhand, axillary pain can be due to a musculoskeletal problem (example: arthritis, trauma, sprains or strains, muscle cramps).  It can also signify an ongoing infection or inflammation (cellulitis or abscess in the area).
