Breast Biopsy for Calcifications?

I had my annual mammogram earlier this month.  The called me back for additional views.  They repeated a lateral view of my right breast and two magnification views of the right breast, told me to wait, and then took another magnification view, before directing me to the radiolical technician, and scheduling me for a fine needle stereotactic biopsy of the calcification they found on the films.  What am I looking at?  WHat are the prognosis?  Is this an area of concern?

The concern is when the microcalcifications clump together.  If they are spread out its not of concern.  For some reason microcalcification tend to clump around tumors.  That's how they found my DCIS.  There were 10 in an almost perfect circle.

You will habe to wait  for pathology, and believe me that is hard.  I got mine back and they found atypical(not normal cells) hyperplasia(many of them) and have to have lumpectomy.  I guess these calcicifations are a warning dign and cam be cancer.  So there is nothing to do but wait and worry unfortunately. They say most are not malignant so that gives us hope. Gppd luck.
