Suspecious Malignancy - Help!

Hey Ladies:

I detected a lump under my left breast one morning 2 week ... [More] s after my physical exam.  My doc. sent me for a mammogram and ultrasound. The results say - 1.6 cm mass with malignant characteristics.  I am scheduled for a biopsy tomorrow by the breast surgeon whom I met today.  I am worried and hope all turns out well.  Is it possible that the pathologist's report shows negative for cancer?

Please respond.

Thanks.

Hi,
Everything is possible..But I am afraid that there isn't much that can be said at this time to completely reassure you.
All I can say is that when lumps look suspicious,a biopsy is needed to know for sure what's going on,but I also heard that quite a few suspicious lumps end up being benign in nature.
I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow.I know that it must be hard for you wondering what the results will be,but keep your hopes high...things might turn up to be just fine.
I really wish you well and lets hope for benign results!
Take care and good LUCK!
