I was called back for diagnostic mammogram after screening mammogram. This was followed by ultrasound. The ultrasound reported a "very hpoechoic, nodule, taller than wider, with irregulat margins and some internal blood flow. From everything I have read this sounds pretty ominous. The lesion is quite small 6x4x5mm which is a good thing. Birads 4. Do you see any benign lesions with these characteristics.

All suspicious lesions do not prove to be cancerous in nature even though the shape of some are more suspicious than others. BIRAD 4 scores most always indicate the need for a biopsy of some type. This is the only way to know for certain if a lesion is benign or malignant. You don't mention that a biopsy has been recommended but I'm guessing that it was and it never hurts to "think benign"!
