Basal cells not removed?

Basal cells not removed?

hello,

I recently had a small Basal Cell Carcinoma removed from my face (45 days ago).  The incision is about an inch long, and right in the middle is where the tumor used to be.  I can feel a small bump there with my finger.  When I look closely at the spot with a magnifying glass, I can see a very small bump of scaly skin and when I touch it, it hurts.

My questions:

Is this typical?
Is a small bit of the tumor still there?
Will it grow back now?
Should I wait a while longer or go right back into my doctor?

Thanks.

In my opinion, it may be a dissolving stitch which hasn't yet dissolved.  In any event, I would call the doctor and tell him or make an appointment to see him.  Good luck.
