Contrast MRI and results.

HI,
I will be going tomorrow for a full body bone scan. After recieving the news from my Contrast MRI that there was abnormal signal, decreased in T1 and increased in T2  and half of the T3. They Highly suspect Meligancy in the T3. My Question is. How accurate are these MRI's?  What does it mean they want the Bone scan done to find out the Bony Involvement or Meligancy? I know that meligancy is cancer. and help will be appreciated.
