Kitties are doing well!

Well I got all three kittens into the vet this afternoon.  She gave us two thumbs up and said if we've gottten 3 out of 4 this far along we are doing good.  Lil Man has an infection in his eye.  She opened it enough to get most of the infection out.  He's on antibiotics for 2 weeks and we have to do warm compresses on that eye for a few days.  If his eye isn't better by the beginning of next week we have to take him back in.  Two of them weigh 4 oz (Wiggle and Lil Man) and the other one is 3 oz (runt)  This makes me wonder if they weren't a little premature, but doc says they are doing very well!  Their hearts and lungs sound good and no other signs of illness.  She said more than likely Lil Man's eye slit was open just enough at birth to allow a little bacteria to get in (since they were born in a bacteria-infested place) and that it developed an infection.  We'll see how it goes.

Thanks! 90% of the credit goes to DD14.  SHE is the one who has been doing the bulk of the work, getting up and feeding them, cleaning them.  I'm so proud of her.  She has done so extremely well. Then again, I never doubted her because she love animals, especially cats.  

The hard part is going to be convincing DH to let us keep all (or atleast one) of them, or consoling DD14 when we have to find them new homes.

Oh well isn't that great news that you got today....wonderful, that means you and your daughter are doing an excellent job, congrats to you both for the care and concern....and congrats to your dear daughter who was willing to give her own money to help these little tykes, you are teaching her very good things momma!!
I sure hope little man's eye will heal up real quick with the medication....its good that you got that checked out and now taking care of properly.
