Cat nesting while pregnant

A few weeks ago, about a little over a month actually, my female cat got out while in heat.. when I found her she was around 3 male cats, I never actually saw them on her so I didn't think anything of it. Well she stopped going into heat regularly, every 2 weeks or so she does, and I thought that was odd, now we moved to a new house about 3-4 weeks ago and she is an indoor cat, generally very afraid to go outside. Since we've moved in she's been sleeping constantly and eating a ton, we noticed a slight bulge in her belly and wondered if she was pregnant. 4 days ago she got out and I looked and looked everywhere for her and couldn't find her.. I found her today under my house and she's refusing to come out.. I've set out food for her so she can eat, but does this indicate pregnancy? I'm assuming so.. since she ALWAYS comes to my husbands calls, and she won't even come out for him. If so.. should I leave her be or try coaxing her out? I don't want her to have the kittens under the house and have them die or become unfamiliar with people and get wild. Thanks in advance!

hi and welcome....I definitely think you had best find all means possible to get your cat out from under the house..she and her kittens are at the mercy of the neighborhood predators out there on their own, she will have the kittens and you'll not be able to reach them, that is not only dangerous for them it will also result in wild feral little ones....please do all you can and fast.
and please get your dear girl fixed asap after the kittens are born...keep us updated...good luck

we were worried about them getting wild. we just adopted her about 2 months ago. our vet.. which is the only one within a few hours of us, is sooo full, being the only vet around here, he takes months to get in to for getting fixed. we were booked for an appt. last week but not knowing if shes pregnant i didnt want to try it.. i didn't think it would happen that quick! :( thank you for the advice!

Hello there,

I agree with opus88's comments. She is giving you good advice.
If your kitty who you think is pregnant remains under your house,
she and any kittens she might have are at the mercy of neighbourhood
predators who , I'm sorry to be so graphic, may kill the mother cat
as well as her babies. It's very dangerous to leave her there. By whatever
means you can, get her out from under your house. Why not try tempting
her with her favorite food. Our cat likes salmon and tuna. Good luck Eve

My cat only eats dry food, she's not familiar with anything else.. so maybe if I stick some tuna under there I can catch her. I'm just afraid she will get really upset..will that effect the kittens if so?
