Teia at home...

Hey all;

Miss Teia Honey seems to be very at home now.

This is one of over a dozen shots Anita was able to get while Missy T was asleep on her "pink blankie" atop the window seat in "her" room this afternoon.

Teia spent time in the Master Bedroom and Bath again, yesterday and today.  When I got home from work, she was lounging just inside the Master Bedroom on a pair of my shoes. She came into the master bath to monitor me as I washed out and refilled the bowl she likes for fresh water.

She's come as far as my office (just down the hall from the bedrooms), but just for a few minutes...

All in all, Teia is a quantum leap ahead of where she was when we took her in at the beginning of June 2009.

AWWWW I love seeing a kitty like that.  Just relaxed and comfy.

Nice little occurrence tonight.

I was petting Miss Teia, giving her a real good head scritch when Hildie came up...about 6 inches nose to nose...

Hildie flopped down in my foot and was buzzing up a storm.

Teia leaned forward, while still keeping pressure against my fingers and sniffed at Hildie.

Both looked ALMOST about to cross that divide.

This girl seems to have a shoe fetish, Pip!  And this pic is too adorable.  I certainly agree, Teia is not the same scared kitty who came to you over 2yrs ago.  That is huge progress for her to be making it to your office, even if it's only for a few minutes.  I'm glad to hear she got over her fear after those storms.  I predict in another 6mos, she will be Inside your office...or even further?

Thanks so much for continuing to share Teia's story.  I always look forward to hearing even the tiniest bit of progress.  

Jade has recently been head butting me in the sternum when I lift her onto the wooden table outside for her "lovin's" and also ever so slightly *almost* brushing against my arm.  She has never brushed against our legs like a normal cat.  Getting down on the ground like my husband can is out and I really can't squat down to pet her right now so lifting her onto this table (actually a tall long workbench I had put her up on in one of my pics) has worked out great and she's real happy with it, too.  She doesn't jump on furniture either inside or out, so being up there is new and exciting for her!!
