It came out safely the next morning. I am so glad.
give kitty some 'hairball treatment' avail anywhere cat food is sold ie: Walmarts etc.
give a teas or so a day and kitty will poop it all out...a must for hairball treatment too. cats don't digest hair therefore seldom will they poop it out unless the hairball treatment lubricant is added(can also use 'white' petroleum jelly)
the hairballs just sit in their stomachs and gather into a huge ball that would need to be surgicaly removed...
As long as it is not bothering her...let her poo it out...you might have to use some toilet paper to help pull out the grass.
You are right on the money, unless there is some type of infectious looking or smelling of infection she will eliminate it on her own.
My oldest cat likes to 'lick' my hair off my hair brush (weirdo) and I often run behind him with a tissue to pull out the hair.
Pulling it out as they are going poo or if you see some dragging after they go poo..it is ok to wipe them and pull it out....it is actually a relief to them... you will see.
It is important to help him get that out of his system or it will bind and cause problems.
cut it off so it isnt...hanging,dangeling, oozing, driping, ect. and wait for nature to take its natural course, expect to find unusual decorative kitty poop medallions scattered about your catbox. If mr. or ms. strings shows signs of trouble, then call the vet.
Maybe going to the vet? I don't think pulling it out would be safe because you don't know how long it is and how far it is in the intestine.
