Recently, I noticed that my 10 month of cat has licked/chewed off fur in one particular spot. The spot doesn't seem to be bothering him much, he's just as playful and sweet as always. Whenever I touch it, he doesn't jerk away like it hurts or anything. I only noticed the spot just yesterday, and it wasn't very big. Today, however, I noticed that it was a bit bigger. I don't know if it's dry skin, or he maybe got bitten by something? He's an inside cat, never goes outside. He's seemed like he's been a bit itchy as of late. We've already checked for fleas and ticks, and that's not the case. We have two other cats and two dogs, and none of them seem to be having an issue like that. I'm getting a bit worried since it's gotten bigger. There hasn't been any drastic changes in his diet, food, litter, lifestyle, nothing like that. If anyone's got any ideas or suggestions for what to do, I'd really appreciate it. I'm just not sure if this is something he needs to be taken to the vet for.
Attached is a picture of the patch of fur that he's chewed away. I know it's a little blurry, it was hard to get him to sit still long enough to get a good picture. It feels kind of dry and scabbed, but I think that might be because he's been chewing on it.
