Cat limping

Our cat has been limping and holding up her right paw. This has been going on for 3 wks!!!  it started progessively.  she would hop around and then run and play. She did have a period of one day she seemed better.  But the next day she was holding up her paw.  But she is still holding up her paw and no longer playing.  We took her to the vet 3 times.  The last time to a new vet.  The x-rays r negative.  They both agreed it must be a sprain.  There has to be something more .  Any advice  please .

Thank you for your input... Shoulder was crated also.  We did not see anything between her toes.  But I appreciate the support.  At Vet number 4 .  Looking for better outcome...

This is just a shot in the dark and probably ruled out but could she have an abcess between her toes?  My Lucy had one and she wouldn't walk on it but once it was drained she would.  But then it filled again and she wouldn't again.

Hello and Welcome..

Hmm...let me ask you...was it just her paw x-rayed?  Or paw, leg and shoulder?  Coming to mind is a possible VAS (Vaccine Associated Sarcoma), but that is simply all I can think of in the moment, so please don't panic.
