One of my cats was having that on her chin. My vet says it is feline acne. I am not suppose to feed her in anything but ceramic or metal bowls not in plastic. Maybe your cat has that.

Our Miss Teia has been yellowing on the chin and forehead, will be 16 in December.  Started noticing it a couple years after we rescued her, when she was about 12 1/2 - 13.

Hi Danny,

.....I bet it is turning yellow!  At 12 years your kit is now a senior citizen.
In cat years he/she has well surpassed the years we human begin to go...grey, white, bald or a very deep color of red not found in nature, (due to the skills of our fondest hairdresser. LOL!

So unless you take your kit to the vet for regular check-ups, this also is like a pregnancy test--- when the hair on your Babies chin turns YELLOW , she is OLD, and needs a well deserved check-up by the vet to make sure there is no medical problem, and if there is you can catch it early.

Long Live your Kit!!!
