Contest for rescued animals on line

Just entered 'theanimalrescuesite.com' and found a interesting contest for owners of rescued pets.
Not sure if it applies for not Americans as well -didnt read any restriction at the first sight, but I guess I will post my babies there...

Or they are phishing for information.  I stay away from those kinds of contests because often they are nothing but scams to collect personal information.

This one dont ask many details about you, just  your mail and name,plus a pic and less than 20 words about the cat.Some are a real pain in the neck...
Site was recomended  to me in another occasion by someone from MH that clicks  there for those free contribution - dont know it it works but I started doing the same.
They have some cute products at their virtual shop,I would for sure buy a lot if I had money and shipping for my country was cheap and easy...

Hey Apple...first, the links people give never work for me, I don't know why, so I had to go to the site and search for Loreena.  Found her (commented, but it didn't leave my name.  I just put "Jade.") and was going to vote, but can't figure out how to vote???  I'm super exhausted and can't think straight so if you can describe how to vote, I'll go try again :)

And I clicked of course.  That site was recommended to me by another friend of mine here at MH and I've been clicking for 3yrs.

Oh, got it!  Obviously I didn't read your earlier post very well which clearly says voting is the 10th to the 16th, lol.  I'll make a note to be sure and check the site on the 10th.

Hi Apple, I went on the site to vote and it looked like you had to choose one of the 10 finalists and I didn't think any of yours were in the final ten.  Am I right ? Those were the only ones I saw.

No, Loreena isn't in the top ten, but what I'd like to know is how to vote in the first place in order to get to the top ten???  When I was there on the 8th, there was no clear voting like there is today.  Hmm.

hi, just wanted to say, this is actually a great site that raises money for animals! last year i entered and won 2 of their contests! i guess i'm not the only one who thinks my kitties are adorable :) and they don't send you crap mail if you don't want it! i would have entered this one but didnt notice it until after the deadline. send me the link and i will vote for your pet if you want :)

oh, i just read the other comments- i think you can enter your cat and then the creators of the site choose the top ten for voting. this is because last year people were entering lots of off-topic photos and not following the guidelines that caused some surprisingly nasty disputes between pet owners!

Hi there :)  Welcome to the cat forum!  Thanks for clearing up our confusion with the contest as well as adding a bit of info.  I've *clicked* to feed the animals for several years.  Makes me feel like I'm doing something to help.  

Yes, we all adore our cats here.  I saw yours and I love Ruby Tuesday in her santa hat...that's really cute.  And SuperStella is *super* cute, too :)
