Hello,
I had my 2 year old cat Charlie Rose, and one of her 3 kittens (4month female-Tiny) spayed and rabies vaccinated for the first time Jan 12.
Tiny came home, running all over the house, and appeared normal for the next few days. Charlie on the other hand, came in hissing at the other 2 kittens (male Beanie and Rambo) and ignoring them.
Day 4 and 5 : Charlie and Tiny, were sneezing, could not breath out the nose, and was sort of enlarged. They were breathing out of the mouth, but not coughing. The gums were just fine, and the incision area was fine no infection from what I could see.
Day 7 : Now Charlie is drooling, and Tiny appears miserable, but not due to pain. now im thinking the surgery is the last of their worries. BUT now the other 2 kittens are showing signs of being sick. REALLY.
Now I feel bad because, I have made, missed and cancelled NUMEROUS appointments, because I was really concerned about having them fixed at a free clinic. I was laid off when I found Charlie, she was an indoor cat that just happened to get out ONE day. She was just fine before this surgery, and so were the kittens.
Today day 10, Charlie doesn't seem to be in pain, but she is looking very sickly. her nose isn't running anymore but dry, and her mouth is crusty WHY??? She will eat and drink water so I assuming she is somewhat )OK. I keep picking her up and making sure she gets up and walking around. But, today, she has stayed in the same spot on the couch in a blanket all day from what I can tell. She did drink some water. But I'm concerned is this a slow death or something.. my Charlie likes to see whats going on, come into the rooms....
I appreciate any feedback, because I can not afford a real VET.... I still have to go to a clinic, which I am DREADING RIGHT NOW. I think something is very wrong
