My cat has dialated pupils and not feeling very well at all. He is not
eating or drinking much water. I'm feeding him with a syringe. He is eleven yrs. young. He is going to the doctor tomorrow. I am worried.
Did your vet confirm that your cat's pupils are dilated? Sometimes it can seem like that, but cats' eyes are funny...
So, assuming that they are chronically dilated - I assume she can see? You would have mentioned, blindness I guess!
Are there any other symptoms that you have noticed?
Was she checked for high blood pressure? Hypertension is not uncommon in cats and can cause dilated pupils.
I don't suppose you feed her much raw fish? There is an enzyme in raw fish that can dilate pupils.
However, I'd consider hypertension as a possible cause if it hasn't been tested for already.
Oh, and congrats on your cat rescue!! I love hearing stories like that!!!!! Good for you :)
