My sister's cat Daisy is about 8 years old and she just got her rabies vaccination on 5/24/12 which was a thursday and has been throwing up a few times a day for almost a week so she decided to take her back to the vet to get a blood test done and keep her there for 3 nights to get her supervised. While there he gave her a Penicillin and Cerenia injection, anesthesia (isoflurane)- he said she was aggresive, he did a Complete blood test and a blood profile major. conclusion: The vet said her blood test came back normal and that she is a healthy cat and nothing is wrong with her. But we got her home and she is extremely thin and has lost a lot of weight. She isn't eating or drinking anything and the medication they gave my sister to give to her 2X a day to help her with nausea but she cant keep that down either. It is not 6/2/12 and i checked her to see if she is dehydrated and she is because when i pinch the skin on the4 back of her neck it goes back really slow and her gums are a pale pink.
what to do...? please help
she needs hydration via IV or else she is in extreme danger.....btw IMO a convenia injection should never have been given to a cat thats already not feeling well, thats just adding more stress for her system to deal with, I really think you need to seek another opinion quickly...
