HOW CAN I GET MY MANX CAT TO EAT BETTER . HE HAS IRRITABLE BOWEL AND TAKES A STEROID SHOT FROM THE DR. EVERY 3 WEEKS, HE EATS OKAY BUT IS PICKY AND STILL DOES NOT EAT MUCH HE WEIGHS 8. 8 OUNCES AND DID WEIGH 7 LBS. AND 6 OUNCES AT THE BEG. OF ILLNESS. ANY IDEAS ON FOODS.

I will send you a site with lots of info about kitty nutrition and pay close attention to the links...one is for 'how to transition to .....diet' doesn't matter what diet the transitioning tricks are whats useful
another note, I know we are taught to trust our Vets as we are our doctors.....BUT, you cannot give steroid shots more than 3 times per year!!!! this is an absolute no no....even one shot of a steroid can lead to diabetes in cats, some Vets say you should be able to give up to 3 shots a year safely but even that is debatable......I lost a Cat due to a Vets incompetence with this so beware.

Can you be more specific about what you are asking?  Are you saying this cat use to weigh over 7 pounds and now only weighs 1/2 pound?  If that were the case, I think he would have been dead by now, so I am assuming you meant he now weighs  8 1/2 pounds.  That is a pretty good size for an adult cat.  If he has gained weight and is eating ok, I'm not sure I understand what the problem is.
