Hair fall

Hi,
I have a one year old cat. His hair is all over and he also keep licking all the time. I brush his hair all the time. When I touch him hair comes in my hand and in athe air.
What is the reason hair falling that much and what should be done to stop that? I am really worried about his health.

Some cats just naturally shed more than others.  My short hair cats aren't so bad but the long hair ones seem to shed forever.  For one of my cats, I used to make little mousies, complete with tails and pointed noses, out of his shedded hair.  I hope that doesn't sound too disgusting, but seriously the shedding is completely normal this time of year.  ((>^.^<))

yes its is common especially in the spring, get a good grooming comb or brush and groom kitty often to get rid of all this loose winter hair...-)

Mine does this  I think it may be because its spring time and they  molt, its normal for them to groom my Tweety does this all the time , but I always think its good to get any animal checked if their behavior concerns you ..good Luck
