Dear, girls DONT eat whiskas food, Loreena eats KS and kids another local brand for kids.Loreena already tried others but I stoped this episodic changings by medical instruction,and she stopped having intestinal issues after this.
The damn famous stuff is everywhere but I know many cat parents and vets have restrictions about those.
The only product from Whiskas I give then sporadically is the wet sachet, more as treat, vet said its ok sometimes
We have lots of brands,in the same level I remember we have Cat Chow,KS , Friskies and many others I dont know if you know about.
About the worms, its not strange to me - Loreena can bring it from outside and also kids are hunters as well and lick everything around! They mess with toys and sometimes throw them almost inside the litters
If some food falls on the floor and Im not fast enough, they will grab it and eat.
Its not possible a perfect hygenic control everywhere/everytime, litters are always clean but it all I can do.
They can also had been getting insufficient dosis of medicine since they are growing up faster and becoming heavier between those appointments...

Hi apple, you sure do have your worries, I think it could work to attach to a stroller or wagon of some sort so you can push rather than carry....you sure do deserve kitty mommy of the year award!!!..............hey maybe we should start such a thing?

does the Vet have an answer to this? Lorena goes outdoors and eats other objects besides her cat food, its possible she is getting infected than spreading to the girls by using the same litter tray?
I understand it is easier for you to buy and feed the dry food but can I suggest you try a brand OTHER than wiskas?....kitties could be allergic to some ingredient and changing brands is sometimes a good idea for any digestive/tummy troubles.

Yes it is.Many other places offers transportation as well but I dont know them, appointments are expensiver and/or transportation fares are,plus I guess only the vet hospital do this 24h...

Stroller is a good idea. You mean put the cat carrier in the stroller? A wagon is a possibility too, but harder to "pull" something than "push."
Just so I understand. The vet you normally go to offers transportation, but this new one, Alessandra, does not so you're walking????

Oh boy, Apple, you've sure got your hands full. So sorry to see the family with worms and vomiting again. I have to say, I am amazed the worm medicine doesn't work longer. Seems like you were just talking of worms a few months ago.
You are a wonderful mom to care for them so well while you battle transportation, money, etc. You go above and beyond, that's for sure.
Many prayers to you and the girls. Know you must be exhausted from not only the traveling, but worry, as well.

They all eat dry food - its the usual for domestic cats with owner that care,here in my country.Of course we have wet ones as well and I already know they are considered better here at MH but brazilians normally feed cats with those,ordinary cheapest one,premium or superpremium,depending on the budget and/or their level of instruction.
Kids are still with kittens food -crazy about Loren food. And Loren was eating kids food tomorrow morning - that she ate while pregnant/nursing...
Both feed are premium and they never caused any harm.

Vet prescribed that for 10 days twice a day,she say is more like a protection and wont cause problems, so say the girl from the pharmacy were I had that manipulated ( the need dosis is not available in pills -5mg)

It was too early to get my vet so I just wait for some time,gave her a hepatic protector some of the had already taken,prayed and leave...
Broken hearted, its true... Left food in the bowl for the day but I was afraid even if got appetite later on,food wont be there anymore eaten by Joy.
Called vet (Leonardo) after leaving home,the hour he opens the clinic and we set I would call him back in the night to set or not transport for the next day (Friday)
Arrived home by 8pm,all seemed to be fine,just a small vomit on the floory but i tried to call him and or send messages anyway,she was wishing some diferent food and I wanna know if I should give her Whiskas sache or no.Uncessfully again,so I - oh my - decided for going fast to a supermarket to buy some chicken filet for then.But they didnt have any at this hour,just the whole chicken :(
I still tried got one in a fast food on my the way for home,but someone said there's are all spiced and another girl said they are counted and the just cannot sell only the stuff.

Friday I was still upset with the vet,give Endal( anti worms) everybody 8am and day passed fine til 6pm when someone vomited a fur ball,gave hepatic protector to both. Lucky later on drunk a lot of water and vomited.Joy had been a little down,and got better after the fur ball episode so I credited that to her

Peace til about 5Am Saturday when I woke up ( cos I was obviously worried about then) and went to bathroom.There was a small vomit there and while I was there 5;20 Joy vomited a fur ball.At 6am Lucky vomited liquid
Called a 24 hours service to check if this could be something serious or it was possible wait for the morning (needless to say,I wont have money to take both there plus transport -if the have it that early )
Vet in turn said didnt seen to be urgent
6;20 they were playing ,7am they ate, all mercifully fine.8am i started calling dr leonardo clinic is the hour he is supposed to be opening but just reach someone there at almost 9 and it was NOT him,just a relative
that, btw didnt give him my warm.
I1ve got fed up and decided for taking the girls to another vet,Alessandra,I do like her and its not soo far from my home but SHE HAS NO TRANSPORTATION and I didnt know about days and hours she works. Cell credits fading away, went to the clinic alone to set the things.
Well,she would charge just one appointenent if I took both the same time so it means I took 4 trips no breath to the clinic ON FEET transporting those boxes with girls that I believed were 4kg ( Joy is in fact 5kg now!)
I returned home fainting,but vet said it was probably just fur balls or gastritis, she noticed they are becoming real live fur balls and want me to put then on light food( or at least reduce it) PLAYPLAY and brush eveybody at least one a day - things that I was always doind but now I have to do even more... Also prescribed the mentioned medicine
All is peaceful at this moment - just 9 and a half days of pills ahead
My arms are less heavy today - well ,I'm not sure if they will be after typing all of this :-)

Apple why are you giving the ranitidina?....as far as I know this is a medication for stomach acid, its not avail. here but a similiar drug is called Zantec. I can't find anywhere that says its for use by cats????
