HELP!

My 4 year old male cat has recently been diagnosed with a fairly severe case of ringworm. It was given to him by our new addition, a 3 month old male kitten brought home from the same shelter as the first. Now, the 4 year old is beginning to lose hair on his head, nose, and paws, and is not urinating or defecating as frequently. He also appears to be limping and has been spending more time hiding in darker places like closets and under desks. What's happening to him?

Hello there,

Your comments sound very concerning. Poor kitty :(  I would say definitely
time for a visit to your vet. Is your 3 month old kitten being treated for
ring worm ? I hope so. As someone who has had a number of kitties
over the years, the fact that your cat is hiding a lot suggests to me that
he is in pain and discomfort and should be seen asap by your vet.
You say what's happening to him?  Don't know , but I bet your vet
will be able to help him. I would also be concerned by the fact that
your cat is loosing hair on his head, nose and paws, that he's not
urinating or defecating as frequently and that he is limping.
Your kitty needs medical help from your vet. Good luck. Eve
