My Cat hate the dog.
My cat is in complet dislike of the dog! She is a 1 year old cat and as been with us for well almost a year. And we received an 8 mths dog 3 mths ago. Well she hates him! Everytime she comes a few feet from him she starts hissing, spitting and growling. I would like them to learn to live well together. He is interested in her and want to get close, but he is affraid of her reaction so sometime he barks at her when she starts to growl. Any advice?

My advice would be not to force the issue. More often than not, adult cats who have not been exposed to dogs from the beginnomg are not going to like dogs. At most they will tolerate them as long as they can get and stay away from them. Given the cat space where she can go and the dog cannot. A vertical cat tree for instance or a room the cat can go to but the dog cannot.
