This is an old thread but someone else may have the same question. There have been studies shown where antibiotics have been used to fight cancer stem cells. Doxycycline is one of them as well as azithromycin. Also, prednisolone is usually prescribed for cats with cancer to help reduce the inflammation the tumor causes. You can read about the antibiotic studies on google. Here is one study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4467100/ Very interesting!
As a side note, if you use Doxy, do not use cod liver oil or any Vit A supplements as this can increase the risk for severe reactions.
I am compiling a board on Pinterest for cancer info (which can also be used for animals) if anyone is looking for alternative treatments.

you will need to talk to your Vet abt further therapies I'm afraid I can't answer that for you.
It is much much better if you can feed a canned food, and one that has a meat listed on the ingredients first on the label, not meat by-products...best not to feed much fish.
Omega 3's are good...not sure on the 6 or 9? nor the selenium. yes essiac tea is very good. make a tea and cool than give half ounce for a 15lb cat....no more.
good luck♥
the doctor didn t say what kind the cancer has...she told me that she cant operate cause the tumour will apear again, and she gave to her 6 months to leave...I made radioghraphie that shows doen t affect the the organs ...the tumour has the size of walnut on her tummy,i mean is not on her mamelon Im afraid i have to make more analises...what you sugest to do?blood test/?....and can you name the food i have to give to her?she has royal canin indoor 7 ,royal canin for cats after 12 years old(wet),fish from can, boiled chicken breast...and how about the omega 3,6,9 vitamins or selenium plus A,C,E CAUSE i bought her today...i have read that fight with cancer cells...have you heard about essiac tea?does he help ?sorry for asking, again, and again
NO....doxycycline is an antibiotic to fight bacterial infections....cancer is NOT an infection.
I am so sorry your kitty's diagnosis...can I ask what type of cancer and where?
the very best thing you can do for her yourself if not doing chemotherapy is to feed a very good diet high in protien..good protien in CANNED foods, not meat by-products like most cheaper cat foods have.
and preferably one with NO grains...these are just fillers and take away from the amount of protein in the can. good pet stores have these. just make the change slowly so kitty doesn't get diarrhea or other gastric upset for a fast change over....also this gets them eating the better food b/c most take awhile to like the taste of.
post again if we can help with any other question. best of luck to your dear kitty, this is such a devastating disease, my heart breaks for you both.♥
