I gave my 9 year old cat a 5 mg Prednesone, but was onlt supposeto give him half.
Will he be ok?

this is a question only a Vet can give an answer too......IMO and I AM NOT A VET so this is my opinion only...that he'll be okay.

please read all the following on allergies....itching ears(if there are NO mites) are caused by allergies...and allergies are caused mainly by grains in the food, change to a GRAIN FREE CANNED food. NO dry food and these symptoms would most likely go away..

ps.I DO NOT agree with  the so called natural remedies mentioned, these can be ingested when a cat licks themselves and many products like these are dangerous...

itching ears & allergies & not as active. He eats very good    Had blood work done yesterday.  Just worried if I need to rush him to a hospital. Will it kill him
he seems fine

Sox is 12 lbs   I can;t seem to get a response from my house vet.

You should really phone and consult with your Vet abt this...and be sure!!!

I don't know the weight of your kitty? for a 11 lb. cat..(6kg) for instance the dosage can be 1 mg per kg. therefore up to 6mgs.
but of course all that depends on what the treatment is for and health of your kitty.
