Teia - 5 Years

At about 1 PM CDT today, Miss Teia Honey will mark 5 years since we took her in from her previous people who lost their house to foreclosure.  They'd rescued her from the street 10 years earlier at about 6 months, a feral kitten being abused by neighborhood kids.  They never really socialized her, just gave her a safe haven.

She was still pretty fearful and not too outgoing when we got her, hiding under the bed or in a closet most of the time.  She ate only kibble, would not be seen unless you saw her first, did not play, suffer being touched...

But, patient, persistent kindness later...

Happy BDay Miss Teia!!
Lo will be there pretty soon,In fact I dont have an especific day cause she started appearing till the day I give up and agree in keeping her.
But I chose for her the day of my own bday, to be sure I wont never forget the day and she will have a little gift as soon as I have mine (few money is enough to share with a cat...)
So 11th June Miss Teia and all fellow cats here are invited for the 5 ( presumed) y.o Lolo bday

She was coming out pretty regularly when we lived in Illinois, even ate many meals with Hildiekatt.

But, she's really blossomed after the move to Maryland, likes to got outside (in our fenced back yard), chew on the grass, feel the breeze, enjoy the sun, chase bugs...enjoy the kittenhood she never had.

Happy, Happy 5yr Anniversary!!!!  Great job bringing this little girl out of her tiny, anxious little world.  Thank you for sharing Teia's story all these years, Pip.  It's been exciting. :)
