yes a move maybe 'good' for both of you. allergy prone people usually shows signs of sneezing/coughs/runny eyes/stuffyness....but cats who can be allergic to all the same things us we are show their symptoms thru 'skin dermatitis.'.....and flea allergies can cause them to break out in very itchy spots that they will rub raw!!
so good luck

angel that may only be a band aid solution(hope not)...if it is an allergy to a flea bite it could become systemic and become quite a problem., afterwards they can develop allergies to 'everything' from food to dust.....hopefully its something else..
good luck and hope kitty keeps healthy

This is something I'd ask on the vet expert forum. I've seen something like this; the oily skin could be a form of "weeping" ie; infectious liquid.

But... like I said, check with the experts on this one. It could be an allergy to food, it could be an allergy to fleas... it could be a nervous condition (I could be totally off on all three!).

I'd suggest giving a more detailed history as well. Check the post at the top of the forum that asks for any relevant information.
