can vets be malicious???

this is a weird question....my cat has been having some issues for the past month. I have taken her to my vet the one I do go and I don't trust these people. there are two vets total, males. I took her in and she was having some vomiting issues and running around like something was wrong. I was really worried....he said to do x-rays and blood and fluids etc...and cerenia. I agreed b/c I feared an obstruction or something. the x-rays didn't show anything except 'constipation.' the vet was ok with her and sent her home to be returned in case anything happened. I took her back as she was having similar problems...she escaped from her carrier due to a negligent make vet tech, and we chased her for an hour it was horrifying and traumatic. she almost ran in the road...he lifted her up using a rabies restraint, by her neck, carried her by the scruff only for blocks and didn't support her body and almost threw her in the room. I had previously requested NOT to use this male vet tech as he is terrible and rude but I think he insisted to help out and this is what happened. they treated me with contempt for this as if it was my fault b/c the tech had to help put her in a carrier.

they were rude/cruel and even told me NOT to comfort her....and told me to let her sit in the flood and my stress was stressing her out. she went through MAJOR trauma as did I and her claws were all bloody and messed up. for this 'experience' the bill was 230.00 he prescribed several medications, and fluids and just injected her with torbugesic without asking me. I feel they aren't addressing her issue...he also felt her 'belly' and figured she isn't constipated anymore and hasn't checked to see what coul dbe wrong with her intestines BUT these vets are constaltly GRABBING at and rubbing her belly so hard...like FEELING it for 5-10 minutes roughly....I hope they aren't actually CAUSING more problems??? I took her back for the recheck and it was vet 1...not this one, and he was a JERK. he kept GRABBING at her like she was a toy...squeezing, grabbing..he wasn't like this before. he was acting crazy and rude and I was scared for her. she even bunched up in FEAR and TRAUMA...the way he was handling her. he didn't even check her claws and didn't seem to care. he said she was ok and sent her home. again now she is VOMITING her food everywhere...and I take her back...it costs 82.00....for stomach med and cerenia....and this vet checked her belly AGAIN for 10 minutes ROUGHLY...and says if she vomits after the cerenia it could be an obstruction....or intestinal however..wouldn't the x-ray have CAUGHT that???

is all this examining and trauma causing her MORE issues....the rough handling??? could these vets be purposely creating more issues..even bunching up her intestine...this vet mentioned that and I don't trust them...there seems to be something shady going on...are there vets that do this...or not?

Agreed, change vets, behavior such as you describe is unacceptable.

Anything is possible.  After an experience like that, I would change vets. - Blu

Find yourself a different vet and keep looking until you find the right one.  I doubt you would continue to see a doctor that treated you this poorly.
