kitty....2 older cats, been 6 months and middle cat hates her

I have a tortie who is 11 now, a calico who is 9....the calico/Gracie has been my baby,..she's very affectionate, loving, talkative, loves to cuddle...etc...
The 11 yr old/Boopy Doop is to herself but also at times likes attention/cuddle with me.

I brought Bella in at 8 wks....She stayed in my room until she got fixed....(unless I was home)  her litter box in there, food/water...and she did great.

11yr old, is so so with her,...doesn't care for her but could care less about her.

9yr old (my baby) HATES her...Bella can't even walk 50 feet away from her in another direction without Gracie hissing/growling/howling.  It's horrible and I feel bad for both....course Bella just wants to meet/greet and play...Gracie wants to hiss/growl/pounce/thump but not bite or anything.

Bella scares the bejesus outta Gracie all the time and the hissing sounds like a dying cat...  :(

Any ideas!??
Bella of course is fixed now and thought that might help,...no go joe...

Gracie is all over me, especially at nite, won't let Bella near me,...but Bella isn't a cuddler...she just likes to play for now.

I appreciate the comment.  Yeah, I know they may never like each other...unfortunately ...  I just hate seeing my 9 yr old baby so freaked/stressed/upset.  It has only been 6 months....so maybe just more time.
Thanks for that link, might be something that could work, who knows.

well not all cats are going to get along...especially when mixing the same gender I've found. I think they'll eventually learn to tolerate one another, they may never be 'friends' but they will learn to co-exist. Cats are very territorial.

I myself have 2 males...they are 8&9 yrs old and have been together for 7 years. to this day they don't like each other...they avoid each others space, but they don't fight...just an occasional hiss when passing in the hallway or competing for space on my lap.

thats probably the way its going to be, we can't make them like one another the only thing we can hope for is for them to share the household with few hair raising incidents.

you can try a product called FELIWAY available at Vets or good pet stores...it is a natural stress reducer..and supposed to calm a threatened cat...hasn't worked for me, but many do claim it works.

good luck, be patient.♥
