the family bible no less......my goodness he does have some issues doesn't he. tschock there is a condition called PICA..where cats eat unusual things...bkitty has a kitty with this condition too. I don't think theres much to be done for it except to be sure and keep all paper(in his case) well out of reach...too much paper in the bowel if it doesn't pass quickly can lead to a blockage so you'll have to be real diligent.
I'll send you an article to read.....hurry before Jericho eats it..lol

Thanks opus! I have them on canned food with a small bowl of dry of the side now.
Jericho has decided that eating paper is better than food though. Any ideas?
We have to make sure that every single piece of paper is put away at night...including books! He chews and swallows!!
He literally ate the Family Bible that I just inherited.
Are cats the same as dogs? I know that when our dearly departed dalmatian Daisy Mae got sick, she would eat and horde EVERYTHING!
She ate egg shells and coffee grounds when her ulcer had acted up.
She hoarded all food when she was upset.
Do you think Jericho is eating paper for one of those reasons?
It started three days ago. There was a pizza flyer on the floor ( fell out of the recycling box ) and ( have to admit it was kind of funny in an ironic way ) he started chewing on the picture of the pizza!
Is this possibly a new bad habit? A tooth ache? Ulcers? EEP!!
heres her ideas on transitioning incase you miss the link in her article....

YAHOO....Jerico is finally going to accept you as his new mommy and family, it just had to be in HIS time..good for you for having the patience:)
for his dander......its because his coat is dry, cats fed dry food are in a constant state of dehydration...they both should be on canned food its so much better for their over all health. it may also be a very good idea to add some krill oil or omega3 fatty acids to the food....this will help too.
I will send you a site where a Vet talks abt nutrition and the horrors of dry food feeding....Eli's tummy can't tolerate it as she is showing by the vomiting. I urge you to try canned food, do the transition slowly so he doesn't get diarrhea...do half and half and gradually reduce the dry until allhe is eating is wet food.
keep up the good work!!!!
