Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy

Hello all! I was born with very mild Cerebral Palsy that only effects my right side. CP has also caused me to become epileptic. I was just wondering if Cerebral Palsy can cause muscle atrophy or if it is the seizures that cause that happen?
It's a question I forgot to ask my neurologist about it

Hi!
Yes, seizures and muscle wasting can both be signs of cerebral palsy. Muscle weakness occurs due to the nerves involved and poor use of limbs can cause muscle atrophy. Compression of spinal nerves due to any other cause can also cause muscle atrophy. You need to seek another appointment and get this investigated.
Take care!
