My child is 7 with CP. She is unable to walk or talk. She is free moving(crawls). We do put her in a standing frame to build her muscles. We also massage. Is there any other ways of builing her muscle and tone?
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Well, yes! Despite the cerebral palsy, muscle tone can be built to a great extent by physiotherapy—both active and passive. Apart from massage and getting her to walk, there are several other exercises that can be incorporated into her play area and made a part of her daily life. You can consult her treating doctor for a referral to a physiotherapist who can help design such exercises according to your child's needs. Take care!
