My daughter is the same age, and also talks in sentences, but as far as potty training she is a little behind. She poopoo and peepees in her diaper, and then takes it off and say hurry poopoo clean it, we did get her to go in the Porta-Potty, at the wedding, but that was a one time deal. Any suggestions on getting my child to quit taking her diaper off after she goes #2. thanks...
Your very lucky, and have a smart little girl on your hands!
Take care!
thank you very much. i just cant believe how easy this whole thing was on me. i didnt even try. she just decided to go potty from now on. thats good. anyway, thank you for your advice. i will follow them.
I absolutely would not worry about your 2 year old having an "accident" on the playground. There won't be a mom there that doesn't understand that. If she doesn't have a problem wearing the diaper, then I guess it is working for both of you. If she refuses the diaper, I personally would NOT make her wear it. She has already earned her stripes.
i take her to alot of playgrounds and i feel like if she has an accident, people will get really mad. but today, i took her to the playground with her diaper. at first she didnt tell me anything so i thought maybe cause shes wearing a diaper and cause shes out of the house, she doesnt have to go bathroom, but i reminded her and she told me everytime she had to go potty while we were there and i still took her to the bathroom there and instead of sitting her on the toilet, i held her up. her back to my stomach while i held her legs. can you picture it, she peed . woohoo. i so badly wanna take her portable potty with me and i wanna put the potty down whereever i am like at the mall and have her go in it, but thats publically, not ok with people. hahah.
You take her out of the house in underpants. Your done w/diapers.
You will have some accidents to clean up, and make sure that you always have a change of clothes that you leave in the car. My daughter, at 2 and a half, just said "I want to wear underwear to church". AND THAT WAS IT.
My son, another story. Consider yourself very lucky, which is not uncommon w/girls.
Have her use the potty before you leave the house if your worried.
In my situation with my 2 1/2 y.o. son, he wears underpants at home and at daycare most of the time. There are potties to use in both places though. When I'm travelling with him or have to take him somewhere where I know I will not have easy access to a potty for him, I put him in a Pull-Up. Then I still encourage him to tell me when he has to go, because I make a big deal about him not going peepee or poopoo on the cartoon character if he can help it. But, if he tells me he MUST go immediately, and there's just no place to find a potty in a hurry, then I give him the OK to go in his Pull-Up. Then I change him asap (carry extra Pull-Ups in the diaper bag).
thank you . i will do that.
Take her to bathroom before stepping out of the home and to the bathroom in the mall after an hour. You can show her the bathroom in the mall so that she gets familiar with it. Also I would suggest put a training pant instead of a diaper.
This is what I did for my son when he was 2 1/2 and it worked.
