10 Year Old Son Cries over everything

My 10 year old son seems to cry over everything lately. Its extremely frustrating but breaks my heart at the same time because something has to be causing this. He is excellent at math but really struggles with reading I don't know if that has anything to do with it. If we ask him to take a showe, he cries, we ask him to get ready for baseball, he cries anything we ask that he doesn't want to do, he cries. I have a 12 year old boy, my 10 year old and a 4 year old boy. I am at a loss of what to do. Help!

That is why I asked you about the relationship between the 2 older children , It sounds as if he is upset by the behavior of the 12 year old and to be honest until you fix it, he will continue to be upset. I would make sure that the 12 year old stops'pushing his buttons , walk in his shoes and see what he is feeling .Seperate them if necessary ..dont allow any bullying ..

He gets a lot of attention because he is the one that plays sports, has a tutor, we work with him everyday with his reading.

My 12 year old and 10 year old have their battles for sure. The 12 year old likes to push my 10 year olds buttons, which then leads to the 10 year old crying and frustrated. My 4 year old and 10 year old get along great.

He is such a sweet loving boy, but when he something doesn't go his way he cries and cries, we ask to him to go to his room and a few minutes later he will come out say sorry and give us a hug. It's the strangest thing.

I don't know if he has a lot of frustration built up because of his reading or what.

May I ask how he gets on with the 12 year old any rivalry going on as often it can be the reason that one child is upset , can you tell us what the dynamics are between the children
