17 month old doesn't eat??

Is it normal for my 17 month old not to eat, he may take a couple bites and throws the rest.  Good at drinking milk and water, no juice.  What to do, should he be off bottle completely?  He is good weight and height.

This discussion is related to not eating.

Nothing wrong with the bottle if he wants if however he also needs other food as I said , so get him on those finger foods I described  in my post ...

i think you are worrying too much. especially about being off milk in a bottle now if you were still breast feeding they would be sucking just the same but you wouldnt get a hard time for that. milk has essential vitamins, calcium and iron (full fat) try and give food before milk but if your baby still wants a bottle give it dont torture yourself or them. My son is 17 months and loves his bottle and im happy to give it, he sleeps 12 hrs at night and naps during the day and is healthy and happy as were my other  kids and no teeth problems.

he should be off the bottle by 14 months! any longer then that, the risk of toothe decay increases! my son who is 13 months is also doing the same thing he hardly eats anything beyond cheerios, fruit cups and yogurt! but we are putting all his drinks in sippy cups, and giving him finger foods! he is starting to get a bigger apetite and drinking less milk!

He should be off the bottle by now.  Above post is right, the more milk he drinks the less he'll eat.  Should be between 16-24 oz of milk. 16oz is ideal.  Also, around that age they do go through "weird" eating spurts.  B/C of their growth spurts sometimes they'll hardly eat and then scarf down the next day.

He must be getting a lot of milk so cut back the milk and get him on finger foods, he will love them, crackers, cheese, vegetables, fruit, grapes (cut up so not to stick in the throat) Banana, Yoghort, you are correct get him a sippy cup and put the drink in it .
