my 6 year old son refuses to go for a poo. instead he holds it and constantly asks for us to clean his bum. we give him laxetive to help him go but he still wont. he holds it for as long as he can and does little bits in his pants.he has been to the g p and he gave us more laxetive. we are at our whits end please some one help, he is waking with stomach ache in the night and this is heart breaking to see him in pain. he just will not do it he just holds it and holds it. very worried parents...

Slipper Elm helps smooth the feces traveling down...has he been check for inner hemmoroids?  Microwaving foods make foods undigestible.  READ ALL LABELS of the foods he is eating.  Know each chemical you are putting in his body.  Kool-Aid was using Sucralose which is CHLORININATED sugar...(deadly for the digestive tract).

Since he is 6 and not 3, I'd see a child's therapist for some reasons this might be happening and strategies to help.
