6 years old Emotional Up and Down

My 6 years old daughter is very loving and easy going.  Lately she is developing a habit of taking everything so seriously that I fear that she will develop low self esteem.  Also she is crying out and cannot tell me why.  I feel that I don't know how to handle her emotional outburst.  I try talking to her but she cannot explain why she act this way.  Is there an easier way to get to the bottom of this.

What is happening prior to her crying out is she upset about something, perhaps it would be a goos idea to simply ignore some of it, it could be she knows she gets more attention from the crying as quite naturally you are concerned for her. Done feed into it or try distraction as that can work, focus on her positive side and praise her when  you see her do soemthing right.
