7 year old pooping pants

My 7 year old daughter poops her pants every day while at school.  She is happy at school and home, she is an above average child, making all "E"'s on her report card.   Do you think a hypnosis could help her control her bowel movements.  Her doctor says she is just lazy.

I have a 6 yr old grandson, that lives with me, parents too.
My grandson has a bowel problem, he has bowel movements in his pants all the time, and has been going on since potty training at 2, we tried teaching him to go in the potty chair, but he never makes it there, he doesn't know that he has a bowel movement until after the fact. Its a constant battle with him. We have punished him, smacked his butt, made him sit on the toilet, taken toys away, and tv to make sure he goes to the toilet when he has to go pooppy, but its the same story over and over, he never makes it to the bathroom, he can be sitting in the chair watching tv and go in his pants, and won't know he's done it, until we smell him.
What in the world is going on, His stupid Dr just says its laziness, i say there has to be a problem with this rectum area, if he doesn't know he's gone, there has to be some kind of problem, and not laziness

He always tells me that he's sorry, and won't do it again, but it happens everytime he needs to go poopy, Tell me whats wrong and If his stupid Dr is just being lazy and don't want to help him.I think i need to find a good peditrician that will help him.

Someone, please respond to my concern and what i need to do. Please HELP. please respond to all three email addresses below.

thats not very helpful from her doctor is it? Laziness may be part of it, but I doubt that is the entire cause.  Most children at 7 should be generally continent - ie not going regularly in their pants, occasionally yes but not everyday.  Does she poop once a day, and the same time every day? It may be that she just needs to go in the middle of class (and doesnt like to tell anyone)
I'm not sure that hypnosis would help but it might be worth a try.  If ithe incontinence continues it could have quite an impact socially on her.
I would keep her home from school for a few days and see what her bowel habits are like...when she goes, and how much warning she gets before she needs to go (ie does she feel the urge and then ignore it, or feel the urge and not get to the toilet in time).  also is there anything that she particularly dislikes about the school toilets? funny question I know but my son wouldn t poop in the toilets at his preschool if there was pee on the seat or if the previous person hadnt flushed.
