The most weird child behaviour

I have a 15 year old son who has recently behaved very weirdly (for the past 6-10 months, or maybe even longer). As long as he stays in the house, he must spend 1-2 hours outsite in the back yard doing "nothing". When i say doing nothing, actually he does almost the same thing every evening. First turn on the garden tap washing his hands or feet. After playing the tap and water for around 20-30 mins, he would stand somewhere between the back door and the tap for another 20 mins, really doing nothing with his head down. Then he would move to just outside the door for another 1 hour still doing nothing, with his head down, eyes looking at nowhere, often fingers in his hair. I have tried to lock him in, but at a certain time in the evening, he will do everything to get out. Otherwise he would cry loudly in the house. I have tried many times to ask him what's going on, but he wouldn't tell and he told me that he cannot control himself from going out. I'm frustrated with this situation and have taken him to see psychologists and our family doctor. Our family doctor cannot find anything wrong with him and the psychologists are hard to find any solution. So things have never improved. Does anyone know anything about this "mentally" illness and know whom i should take to see? Thanks

Is there areason he cant be outside by himself?perhaps if you cut him slack and backed off ,.Tthe behavior you describe seems he is upset and Frustrated,I dont think there is any Mental" illness there and as the Doctor has told you they cant find anything try other ideas at home,Has he got some friends how does school go, has he a Dad can participate in activitys with him maybe he needs to be busy more epecially in vacation time when kids get bored.Teens are never easy with the Hormones raging perhaps you could give him some space and have talk with him and get some feedback, Good Luck
