You're going to hate hearing this but, I say let her cry it out. Yes, if she's teething you can soothe her but, if she's been doing this all along she probably hasn't actually learned how to fall asleep on her own. Not everyone agrees with this method but, I can tell you it worked the first night for us. At 8 months with my daughter we finally tried it. She cried for an hour straight b4 she fell back asleep. But, she's slept through the night ever since, 10-11 hours everynight!!!
It's not fun, I had to leave the house and let my husband listen to it.
Our elder son did not sleep through the night until past his first birthday. He's fine today but there was a time when I think that I might have sold my soul for one good night's sleep. I feel for you ....
She is definitly teething. She is getting 4 teeth at once. She has never really slept through the night except when she was 3 - 4 months old. She is still looking for food when she wakes up.
Hi Diana,
My 9 month old just started waking all hours of the night again and it's because he is teething. Has she never slept through the night or did it just start recently? Could she also be teething?
Good Luck!
