Nope, have heard of it causing upset tummies, headaches.
She needs to have him evaluated by a behaviour specialist.
Tell her to cut our his dairy products and see if his behavior changes. If it does not then she may finally believe that he violent and needs more help than diet.
Yes an allergy in a child can cause behavior problems. Do you feel good if you have allergy to something? Think about if it was constant. The child may have leaky gut syndrome.
Dark circles are a sign of an allergy to something. It may not even be just dairy it could be gluten as well or who knows.
Like the prevous post said the dairy needs to be eliminated (for a couple months) to see if there is a change. It cant just be a week or somthing, you will see nor difference in a short amount of time.
A good alternative to milk is rice milk.
If she is convinced of this than she needs to do somthing abou it.
I think dairy is definitely the problem, I have this allergy and get dark circles under eyes when I eat cheese. I also feel like I am buzzing with energy, and get cranky and short tempered, and feel angry, if I have it. This lasts for a few hours if I eat it. I gave up cheese at 18, after I was told about allergies affecting moods by a college tutor who had a daughter the same age with the same symptoms; the symptoms disappeared from then on. Am now 37 and never looked back. If I eat out at a restaurant and have cheese by mistake it all comes back. Funnly enough mozzarella doesnt affect me or some goats cheese, but anything else... I hope this helps :)
I am a nurse and and have seen alot of behavioral problems in children with allergies. I have also seen alot of of kids turn into a a whole new person when the food is taken away
I have heard of this. I wonder how long he's been off dairy and still violent.
